Office of the Vice-Dean for Administration
The Office of the Vice-Dean for Administration is responsible for financial, administrative, and student affairs, as well as public relations. This office strives to improve the management of the faculty and meet the needs of its various units by handling and coordinating existing revenues and expenditures. All financial and administrative correspondence and requests of the faculty are processed through this office.
The key duties of this office include the following:
- Overseeing and handling all financial matters of the faculty, including those related to students, faculty members, and staff.
- Reviewing accounting financial documents and providing final approval.
- Supervising the development of faculty facilities through budget allocation and follow-up on related provisions.
- Providing the necessary human resources for the faculty's units.
- Supervising the implementation of administrative regulations and directives, allocating budget to these matters as necessary, and monitoring and assisting in staff development.
- Handling construction and maintenance affairs within the faculty and allocating budget in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
Student and Cultural Affairs
Office of the Vice-Dean for Science and Technology
The Office of the Vice-Dean for Science and Technology serves as the executive arm of the faculty in achieving its educational, research, and entrepreneurial goals. Adopting a transformational perspective, this office defines its mission beyond classical education and seeks to create a dynamic ecosystem for training specialists who, in addition to mastering technical knowledge, are drivers of innovation and social change in the agricultural and natural resources sector.
Vision: To achieve a position of scientific authority and pioneering leadership in the transformation of agricultural learning and innovation systems at the national and regional levels, with an emphasis on smartization, environmental sustainability, and the development of a knowledge-based economy.
Mission: The primary mission of this office is the integrated management of educational services and the creation of a platform for converting knowledge into wealth through the following focal areas:
- Educational Re-engineering and Transformation: Fundamentally revising curricula and teaching methods with the aim of moving towards modern educational models. This is accomplished by focusing on the integration of economic and behavioral sciences and innovation processes to provide an engaging, dynamic environment suited to the concerns of the new generation and the evolving needs of the future labor market. Establishing scientific authority in the field of agricultural humanities is the most important mission of the re-engineering of the faculty's educational activities.
- Development of a Knowledge-Based Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem: Macro-level leadership and guidance of ideation structures, prototyping spaces, and accelerators. This mission is pursued with the aim of creating a platform for the growth of start-ups and the commercialization of advanced technologies within the agricultural value chain and sustainable development.
- Demand-Driven Research: Directing theses and dissertations at the postgraduate levels towards solving real-world challenges in the agricultural sector, including the human dimensions of environmental protection and resource management.
Strategic Objectives
To accomplish the above missions, the following operational priorities are on the agenda:
- Improving teaching quality using project-based learning methods.
- Revising the evaluation indicators for learning-teaching environments.
- Strengthening student engagement with real-world agribusiness environments.
- Expanding scientific collaborations with stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
- Modernizing educational spaces and transforming learning-teaching environments into hubs for innovation exchange and collaborative learning within the faculty.
- Effective collaboration with other faculties regarding joint educational programs, including short-term MBA and DBA programs.
- Updating course syllabi and developing student employability and entrepreneurial skills.
